In the last stanza of the famous hymn, "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing" is the line, “Hail, the Sun of Righteousness! ...Risen with healing in his wings." Charles Wesley took this prophecy about Jesus from the end of Malachi. In this message we explore this and other prophecies that speak of Christ as being like the sun. Early Christians understood from passages like these that God gave us the sun to teach us wonderful lessons about Christ, revealed in the sky for all to see. This is a lesson that can benefit our devotional lives throughout the day, every day of the year.
"But to those who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings, and you shall go forth like leaping calves released from their bonds."
